Afternoon temperatures will be a few degrees lower compared to Friday for the valley and foothills.
The delta breeze will kick in again Friday evening and send temperatures into the upper 50s and low 60s in the valley first thing Saturday morning. Foothills spots will stay warmer, as will the Sierra.
Saturday and Sunday will be slightly cooler across the board in Northern California. Expect highs in the mid 90s at low elevations and mid to upper 80s in the mountains.
Those heading to the Sierra will need to watch for some afternoon thunderstorms. They will be isolated, but any could produce a downpour and some lightning.
